Dalian Shipyard tells you about the preparations before a ship sets sail
Before departure, the captain shall fulfill the following duties: Upon receiving sailing orders, immediately announce the departure time, notify crew members to return to the ship on time, and prepare sufficient fuel, materials, and ship's supplies. Check if the crew's certificates are complete and valid. If there are temporary substitutes, the necessary procedures should be completed. For watchkeeping personnel, a detailed introduction to the ship's equipment and operating performance should be given, and work should be arranged. Check the seaworthiness certificates and other relevant documents of the ship and any attached barges. Check the port entry and exit visa procedures. If dangerous goods are being carried, ensure the dangerous goods transport permit is in order. Check the ship's and any attached barges' navigational instruments, operating machinery, tools, and towing equipment.

Dalian FRP Shipyard: Monthly Ship Maintenance
Monthly maintenance of the vessel is carried out in the form of a monthly maintenance work plan (C, D level maintenance). The main contents are: checking the fastening of deck equipment and the effectiveness of waterproof and sunscreen devices; checking the watertightness (wind and rain) of windows, doors, and covers; cleaning or replacing fuel, oil filters, and air filters; checking the lubrication status of the main engine and other equipment; adding lubricating oil to various equipment according to regulations; routine inspection of wind oil cut-off, fire alarm, and centralized monitoring; checking the sealing performance and oil quality of the hydraulic steering gear pipeline; checking the sealing of the pump water seal, stern tube oil, and water seal; other necessary maintenance work.
